  1. In real life it is not that beautiful to be honest. Too many tourists and houses are not that bright as a filter on this photo. Add to this almost hour of full people packed boat trip. Not worth it.

    1. I found it to be a bit of a let down, but still worth it.

Though it did feel a bit sterile in a sense if I recall right: so quiet, bar a few other wandering tourists, that it felt a bit like a museum or theme park street.

    2. A picture obviously only provides a snapshot of what you’re seeing and doesn’t provide full context. I really enjoyed Burano. It was quaint, pretty and a world apart from my surroundings in the UK. Yes busy, yes a bit of a tourist trap, but that didn’t change my opinion that I still found it beautiful and enjoyed taking pictures of it, so in my opinion, definitely worth it.

    3. I enjoyed Burano, but only because we got out there at around 9:30am on a semi-full waterbus. By the time we’d explored and were ready to leave it was just before midday, the cruise ship hordes were descending and it very quickly became unbearable.

So yeah, like everywhere else in Venice, go early in the morning or late in the evening.
