  1. Shot from Glion station on the way up the mountain rail to Rochers-de-Naye. I love the Swiss public transport system to bits and Chateau-de-Chillon is a great example to demonstrate it as you can actually take either a bus, train OR boat to its doorstep.

    The castle is a must-visit IMO if you’re visiting Geneva. The journey takes about an hour end-to-end and the train skirts along Lake Geneva for parts of it. It has been in existence atleast since 1005 AD and provided inspiration for Byron’s poem “The prisoner of Chillon”. Superb views from the castle as well.
